Myers Briggs Type Indicator® - Step II

The purpose of the MBTI Step II Expanded Interpretive Report (EIR) is to provide an individualised interpretation of personality type that is unique to each respondent.  The report focuses on the respondent’s four-letter MBTI type in a combination with the component parts of each of the four main type dimensions.  The result is a report that is unique to each respondent, detailing his or her distinctive use of extraversion and introversion, sensing and intuition, thinking and feeling, judgement and perception.  Individuals who are unsure about which of the sixteen types best fits them often find clarification and subsequent identification and verification of a type through a Step II interpretation.  In addition, the interpretation can help differentiate among people of the same type, allowing them to see their unique expression of their personality type.

The report covers the following:

The respondent’s reported preferences on the four main dimensions and a type description.

  •  Descriptions of the respondent’s Step II subscale components on each dimension

  •  The integration of the respondent’s type and Step II components

  •  Information about type dynamics and the natural development of the respondent’s reported type

  •  Applications of the above information to communication, problem-solving, decision-making, change management, and conflict management

  •  The client’s individual profile upon which the report was created

  •  The last page of the report contains detailed information about the client’s score, including preference scores, type specific norms and polarity index.

Individualised information for respondents will also be of great value to anyone who works with individuals, couples and teams.  In addition, people interested in a deeper understanding of their own and other’s types will benefit from the Step II report.

The MBTI Step II Expanded Interpretive Report (EIR) has five subscales for each of the four MBTI scales.
