My entire family and I train in and recommend Zen Chi Ryu Martial Arts

We currently have the privilege of training with a group of dedicated martial artists in Gladstone at the Enabling Arts Dojo (Apostolic Church Hall 123 Auckland St) on Friday evenings & Saturday mornings.

Respect for self and others is the foundation from which we have built our Dojo and is the reason why our student numbers continue to grow.  The Enabling Arts Dojo strives for an atmosphere of friendship, kinship and nurturing whilst teaching and imparting the knowledge and skills that are the fundamentals of this effective Martial Art.

We are a 'not for profit' Dojo and pride ourselves on our ability to add real value to our community and to give back as much as we receive from our involvement with our students and their families.  We teach for the love of our art and for the love of Martial Arts in general.

Zen Chi Ryu Gladstone students have the opportunity to experience a range of different styles, weapons, instructors and training venues, with Sensei Peter researching constantly to bring the most cutting edge styles and techniques to our eager group of students.

The 'family feel' of the Dojo and the 'sense of belonging' are our finest achievements and if we can make a difference for just one individual then the time and effort is worth it.

In November at our National Titles our Dojo was awarded the Australian Zen Chi Ryu Dojo of the Year.

Training is by invitation only so please call me (Peter) on 0414558306 if you have a desire to join us or you wish to come along and observe.  We welcome visitors and out of town martial artists looking for somewhere to train.  No egos and a welcoming atmosphere are hallmarks of our Dojo - one of Queensland's largest and friendliest Dojos.

Zen Chi Ryu Teens & Adults - by Sensei Invitation

Zen Chi Ryu is a modern Martial Art with traditional values. It is not an elegant demonstration sport, but an original Australian Martial Art, developed from real - life experiences by the legendary Tom Slaven in the 1970's. It may be the most street - effective fighting style available today. Despite it's recent origins, the pedigree of Zen Chi is impeccable, being derived from the ancient Kempo style of Okinawa.  On the surface, Zen Chi can be seen as a unique form of self - defence, while at a deeper level it's practitioners strive towards a level of enlightenment that comes through the fusion of mind and body into an ego-less fighting spirit.

Zen Chi Ryu is about realizing your true potential.

The formula for success is simple: Conceive + Believe = Achieve.

"A true test of a dojo in not the number of students nor the size of the trophies nor the physical stature of the Sensei ...... No, but the kind of men and women it turns out.

The price of greatness is responsible teaching, life coaching and loving.".... Sensei Peter Reilly 2010
